How to use the Tilopay MCP and skills
Connect your AI assistant (Claude, ChatGPT or another) to your Tilopay account and use ready-made skills for everyday tasks.
The Tilopay MCP connects your AI assistant (such as Claude or ChatGPT) to your Tilopay account. You can ask it things like "how much did I sell today?" or "create a payment link", writing normally.
Before you start
- You need a Tilopay account.
- No approval or forms needed: you turn it on yourself.
1. Connect your assistant
- In your assistant, add a new connector with this address: https://mcp.tilopay.com/mcp.
- Sign in with your Tilopay account email and password.
- Enter the verification code we ask for. Done!
Your credentials never leave Tilopay. Detailed steps per assistant are in Connect your agent.
2. Ask for what you need
- "How much did I sell this week?"
- "Create a ₡15,000 payment link for María."
- "Add Yoga class at 8,000 colones to the catalog."
Before any operation that moves money or deletes something, we ask you to confirm.
3. Use the skills
Skills are ready-made instructions for specific tasks: cash close, charging over WhatsApp, recovering declined payments, monthly reconciliation, financial summary and catalog. They never ask for passwords.
- Without installing anything: on the Skills for agents page, tap "Copy prompt" on the skill you want and paste it into your assistant.
- Install all six in Claude: in Cowork, go to Customize → Plugins → Add → Add marketplace → Add from a repository and enter tilopay/claude-plugins. It already includes the Tilopay connection; the first time you just authorize it with your account.
Plugins are available on Claude's paid plans.
