How to use Tilopay's MCP and skills
Connect your AI assistant (Claude, ChatGPT, or another assistant) to your Tilopay account and use ready-made skills for everyday tasks.
Tilopay's MCP connects your AI assistant (such as Claude or ChatGPT) to your Tilopay account. This lets you ask things like “How much did I sell today?” or “Create a payment link” using natural language.
Before you start
- You need a Tilopay account.
- You don't need to request permission or fill out any forms—you activate it yourself.
1. Connect your assistant
- In your assistant, add a new connector using this address: https://mcp.tilopay.com/mcp.
- Log in with your Tilopay account email and password.
- Enter the verification code we send you. You're all set!
Your credentials never leave Tilopay. You'll find detailed instructions for each assistant under Connect your agent.
2. Ask for what you need
- “How much did I sell this week?”
- “Create a ₡15 000 payment link for María.”
- “Add Yoga class to the catalog for 8,000 colones.”
Before any operation that moves money or deletes something, we'll ask you to confirm.
3. Use the skills
Skills are ready-made instructions for specific tasks: cash register closing, collecting payments through WhatsApp, recovering declined payments, monthly reconciliation, financial summaries, and catalog management. They don't ask for passwords.
- No installation needed: on the Skills for agents page, click “Copy prompt” for the skill you want and paste it into your assistant.
- Install all six in Claude: in Cowork, go to Customize → Plugins → Add → Add marketplace → Add from a repository and enter tilopay/claude-plugins. It already includes the connection to Tilopay; the first time, you only need to authorize it with your account.
Plugins are available on Claude's paid plans.
